Reviews for Richard II -
* * * * "... bravely rethought version..." The Scotsman - Joyce McMillan
* * * * " fierce-eyed Lady Bolingbroke (EmmaClaire Brightlyn) is ... a steely warrior driven by honour, not anger. Revealing a tender heart, she makes you wish there had once been a great queen of that name." The Guardian - Mark Fisher

I'm a stage and film actor, originally from Canada, now based in both Glasgow and Toronto, represented by Butler Ruston Bell.
I gained my Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada in 2005, before working professionally in theatre and voice over in Western Canada for four years.
Coming from a proud Scottish family, I was excited to move to Glasgow in 2009 to do my MA at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama specializing in Classical and Contemporary Text performance.
Recent performances include HD in Anonymouse (with Ipdip Theatre, part of both the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 and the Puppet Animation Festival 2016), Bolingbroke in Richard II (Bard in the Botanics 2015; see left for reviews), and as Hero in a staged reading of The Love of the Nightingale for Dundee Rep Theatre.
In 2012, I played Abi, the female lead, in the award-winning film Notes. (See below for a full list of nominations and awards)
I've done lots of exciting work both in the UK and North America so have a look at my Spotlight Profile for a complete list of productions and roles.
I also work as a freelance Fight Director.
